One week’s attendance only is required at Petans Training Facility in Norwich

All participants are required to attend PETANS training facility in Norwich for one week of practical procedures and final assessments.

 

These sessions afford prospective and established Offshore Medics the opportunity to meet with colleagues and update their practical skills in many procedures such as:

Þ Drugs used in Cardiac Arrest

Þ Casualty Handling & Transportation

Þ Health Surveillance Programmes

Þ Advanced Airway Management

Þ Shock & Fluid Replacement

Þ Intubation & Intravenous Cannulation

Þ Management of Spinal Injuries

Þ Soft Tissue Injuries

Þ Food Hygiene Update & Legislation

Þ Routine Hygiene Inspection

Þ Offshore Legislation

 

Medics are assessed throughout the week on their abilities to perform practical procedures and on their medical knowledge by the written, tutor marked assignments
